This past Saturday we transferred 3 embryos. I am amazed at how much creation and life begins in something so small. So vulnerable. This was the first time I had a look at them without extreme magnification. So beautiful. These little possibilities.
This trip included my kids. Their first time on a plane. They experienced 5 types of transportation in 5 days, traveled to 3 states and witnessed some magnificent things. Our first day there we traveled to NYC for Central Park fun. Saturday we transferred and visited with IF and his BFF and her family. She has two children, one being an age right in the middle of my girls so playtime went over really well. Sunday we ventured into PA to see my IF's area and had a picnic with BFF and her older daughter. We made sure to grab some PA ice cream! Monday was the Statue of Liberty, the WTC and Chinatown. Alot to see but such a wonderful experience. Now we are home, waiting for the BETA on the 12th.
My IF is an extremely kind and generous man. He has such a positive energy and the dynamic between he and his BFF is unique. I'm sure going into this they had a great friendship but I think their friendship will reach new levels. They are creating life from such a positive and loving place.
I am thankful I was able to spend that time with him while there. These surro/IP relationships develop around an "arrangement". Honestly, I'm sure our lives would never cross otherwise. Yet having our lives touched by each other and our families makes our time together that much more special. Feeling optimistic. May 12th won't come soon enough.
